There is a wonderful non-profit organization called Journeys Within our Community. We visited them in Siem Reap, Cambodia and saw first hand the great work that they do. We visited some of the water wells that they have dug for communities that have no decent source of water. We even visited "our" well that we donated. It was the most amazing and heartwarming part of a truly memorable trip. Journeys Within our Community is run by an American family who loved visiting Cambodia so much, they decided to live there. They opened a bed and breakfast, and started a non-profit to help the communities. We have met them and they are great people. They also sponsor a school, sponsor college students, and more. Note: Nash Travels is not financially connected to them in any way. But, we feel very connected to them in more important ways.

Another great cause that is near and dear to our hearts is the Tall Wonders at the Sacramento Zoo. After many years of planning, building, and fundraising, the giraffes' new home is now complete (see adorable photo)! Now all four giraffes (3 girls /1 boy) are living comfortably in their new heated block barn home. It is now possible to feed the giraffes while seeing them eye-to-eye on the giraffe viewing deck.
